My NYCC Schedule... and Batman

Batman Commission. 2010. Ink on bristol board, 11 x 14".

The New York Comic Con begins Friday, and I should, Zeus willing, be there all weekend. You can find me in Artist Alley, table G-7, right next to Joe Q(uinones). On Friday, I'll be signing with Joe Q(uesada) from 3-4 at the Marvel Booth.

I will be accepting 9 x 12" watercolor head sketch commissions for $80. I'll start a fresh list at the beginning of each day, but it fills up quickly (often within the first 15 minutes), so please get there early to ensure a spot (I may accept post-con commissions if I'm in a good mood). I'll be commuting from Brooklyn each day—at least an hour commute—so my apologies in advance if traffic holds me up.

I'm really looking forward to the show (the weather looks like it's going to be fantastic), so please stop by if you'll be in attendance. There won't be a post on Friday, so have a fabulous weekend!

  1. I'm excited for this weekend! Though, I'm only able to go on Sunday, 'cause I'll be strapped for cash and my little brother gets in for free.

Hey, how many spots are on the list? That way, I'll know not to get my hopes up if I get there too late.

  2. I forgot to mention that I love that Batman sketch (I think they just keep getting better?), and it's great how unwieldy his cape is!

  3. I'm going to try and accept 6 per day, but that's being very optimistic. If it comes down to it, I may have to take some home. And thanks! I would love to do some Batman some day...

  4. Paolo the Batman is AMAZING. Excellent work on the cape I love how fluid it is. I hope you had a great time at the con. I almost went, almost, but backed out because my midwife wasn't really down with a road trip ;) 20 days left! We hope to see you next year <3

  6. I agree, the Batman is amazingly awesome...and in my collection. :) The Hellboy head shot is equally as impressive. (not posted here yet, but it's up on my CAF gallery).

    Thanks, Paolo!
